Print ASAP is India’s first digital platform connecting students and professionals with local print-shops. Users can book prints online, skip queues, collect orders when ready, or opt for delivery. Our merchant-side app helps local print stations manage orders, while features like Campus Docs (shared notes), ASAP Store (late-night / next-morning deliveries), etc., expand our ecosystem. We are currently scaling across Noida & Greater Noida, aiming to onboard 1,000+ print stations and serve 1M+ users in the next 12–18 months. Role Overview As a Founding Full Stack Developer, you will be a key technical leader, not just a coder: You will architect, build, and lead development of the platform (mobile + web + backend), and drive decisions about tech stack, architecture, scalability, performance, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with co-founders in Product, Design, and Operations to translate business goals into technical execution. You’ll lead a small development team (grow it as needed), mentor others, establish good engineering practices, ensure code quality, and maintain velocity. Because this is early stage, you’re expected to be hands-on across front-end, back-end, mobile (Flutter), deployment, etc., and also participate in product discussions and decisions. Key Responsibilities Area What You’ll Do Architecture & Tech Stack • Define, design, and evolve the architecture of the system (front-end, back-end, mobile, APIs, databases). • Choose frameworks, tools, libraries, tech stack. • Ensure modular, maintainable, scalable code. • Make decisions around infrastructure, hosting, cloud services, CI/CD, performance, caching, etc. Full Stack Development • Build front-end and mobile apps (Flutter) that are intuitive, responsive, performant. • Build backend services / APIs, database schemas, business logic. • Integrate payment gateways, order tracking, push notifications, etc. • Ensure security, data safety, handling offline/online sync if needed. Product Ownership & Delivery • Translate product specs into technical specs; estimate, plan, deliver features. • Participate in product design, UI/UX, customer feedback loops. • Prioritize feature backlog, drive MVPs, iterate quickly. • Monitor performance metrics (loading time, uptime, error rates) and improve continuously. Team Leadership & Culture • Recruit, mentor other developers as the team grows. • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, ensure clean code, maintain documentation. • Foster collaborative environment: cross-functional collaboration with design, product, ops. • Be a problem solver, proactive, with ownership. Operational Responsibilities • Setup and maintain dev environments, staging, production, CI/CD pipelines. • Manage deployments, version control, rollback, monitoring, logging. • Handle bug fixes, performance optimization, technical debt. • Ensure reliable uptime, scaling with growing user base and merchant base. Required Skills & Qualifications Experience: 3+ years in full stack development, with exposure to both front-end and back-end in production. Preferably, you have already led modules or small teams or had ownership of architecture. Mobile + Front-End: Proficiency in Flutter for mobile app development. Familiarity with front-end web technologies (React / Vue / Angular or equivalent). Clean UI/UX sense. Back-End: Strong skills in building and maintaining APIs (REST / GraphQL), server-side languages (Node.js, Python, Java, etc.), database design (SQL / NoSQL). Architecture & Systems: Experience with architectural design: modularization, microservices or well separated monolith, caching, performance, scaling. Understanding of infrastructure (cloud, servers, CI/CD, deployment). DevOps / Deployment: Familiarity with cloud services (AWS / GCP / Azure), version control (Git), containerization (Docker) or at least server provisioning. Setup of staging / production pipelines, monitoring. Leadership & Soft Skills: Good communicator, ability to lead tech discussions with non-technical founders/stakeholders. Problem solving, decision making, ownership mindset. Experience mentoring, code review. Strong collaboration skills. Product Mindset: You care not just about writing code, but about user experience, performance, reliability, customer feedback. You can make trade-offs, prioritize. Nice to Have Previous startup experience, ideally early stage, building something from zero to one. Knowledge of offline printing, logistics, delivery workflows, or working with merchants. Experience with push notifications, geolocation, QR / barcode / scanner integration. Experience with ESOPs or handling code ownership as part of equity arrangements. Performance Metrics / What Success Looks Like (First 6 Months) Delivered core modules/features for Customer App + Merchant App: e.g. order placement, payment, merchant dashboard, delivery tracking. Setup of CI/CD, staging & production environments, deployment pipelines. Scalable architecture in place: database design, caching, performance, monitoring. Brought in good engineering practices: code reviews, tests, proper documentation. Led / onboarded at least 1-2 junior / mid level devs (if team expansion). Good feedback from product/users; low bug/issue levels; app stability and performance acceptable.
