Job Description This role will be based in Bengaluru, India. The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team. Key Responsibilities: You will build and ship software, drive architectural decisions and implementation across distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, write code, and deliver with speediness and quality. Develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7. Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration. You will actively improve the level of craftsmanship at LinkedIn by developing best practices and defining best strategies. You will lead cross team/cross-functional discussions and drive alignment on product/technology strategy. You will define the bar for quality and efficiency of software systems while balancing business impact, operational impact and cost benefits of design and architectural choices. You will act as one of the primary domain experts to influence technology choices. You will lead by example to build a culture of craftsmanship and innovation. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience. 18+ years of experience in software design/development 18+ years experience in/with programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++ Preferred Qualifications Expert knowledge of computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design. Experience with object-oriented design, coding, testing patterns, and programming languages (Java, C++). Proven coding skills in a high level language with interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed. Experience with large scale automation across key enterprise personas Proven track record of leading and delivering complex software projects. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience building web applications and services with IDEs, ant, Junit, etc. Experience with relational databases (transactional and non-transactional), database architecture, and distributed transaction management.
