About the Role We’re looking for a hands-on Java Lead to architect and scale high-performance backend systems using Spring Boot and microservices. This is a tech-first leadership role where you’ll actively code, design systems, and mentor engineers. You’ll play a key role in building reliable, scalable platforms while driving engineering excellence across the team. What You’ll Do Architecture & Development Design and build scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot Architect and evolve microservices-based platforms Write clean, efficient, and production-grade code Optimize performance, scalability, and system reliability System Design & Delivery Own end-to-end delivery from design to production Create and review HLDs and LLDs Design robust REST APIs and distributed systems Engineering Excellence Work on database design and optimization (SQL & NoSQL) Implement caching (Redis) and messaging systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) Ensure security, fault tolerance, and observability Cloud & DevOps Work across AWS / Azure / GCP environments Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows Contribute to automation and infrastructure improvements Operations & Reliability Own production stability, incident management, and RCA Ensure systems meet SLA/SLO commitments Leadership & Collaboration Lead and mentor a team of engineers Drive code reviews, design discussions, and best practices Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and DevOps teams What We’re Looking For Experience 12–15 years of backend engineering experience Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices Proven experience leading and mentoring teams Core Technical Skills Deep understanding of: Core Java (Collections, Multithreading) Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security Microservices architecture Strong experience with: REST APIs and distributed systems Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB Messaging: Kafka / RabbitMQ Caching: Redis Cloud & Tools Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes (nice to have) Working knowledge of CI/CD tools and Git Comfortable working in Agile environments Nice to Have Experience in high-scale or product-driven environments Strong exposure to performance tuning and system optimization Knowledge of design patterns and domain-driven design (DDD) Domain experience in telecom, OTT, fintech, or large-scale platforms
