The Role: Software Engineering Intern We’re looking for an outstanding software engineering intern who thrive in a fast-paced, product-driven environment and are hungry to build production-grade systems from the ground up. This is not an academic internship. You will write code that ships — powering real-world therapy experiences used by clinicians and patients. You will work closely with our core engineering and product teams to architect, develop, and optimize modules across mobile, web, and embedded systems. Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize scalable components using C++ in performance-critical applications Build and extend mobile and web applications using React Native, Swift, and React.js Collaborate with Unity and backend developers to integrate cross-platform XR modules Contribute to architectural decisions, code reviews, CI/CD improvements, and performance benchmarks Own features end-to-end — from requirements gathering to QA and deployment Write clean, modular, testable code with high attention to reliability and maintainability Minimum Qualifications Strong command of C++ and object-oriented programming fundamentals Proficiency in Data Structures & Algorithms, problem-solving, and memory-efficient code design Working understanding of systems architecture, MVC patterns, and performance profiling Built one or more real-world applications (web or mobile) — personal, freelance, or production projects Familiarity with Git, REST APIs, and component-driven UI frameworks Demonstrated ability to take ownership and learn quickly in fast-moving environments Bonus (Nice to Have) Exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native, or Swift Experience with Computer Vision, LLM finetuning, training, vector embedding - HIGHLY PREFERRED Experience with mobile performance tuning, 3D rendering, or Unity plugin integration Contributions to open-source projects or engineering blogs What You’ll Gain Work closely with a highly experienced team from IITs, NHS UK, and global digital health companies Learn how to build compliant, high-impact health tech products — fast, modular, and scalable Work on products that are actively improving lives — from neurodivergent children to recovering patients Pre-placement offer (PPO) opportunities for high-performing candidates A collaborative engineering culture focused on growth, quality, and execution
