We are seeking a self-motivated and accountable Mid-Level Cloud Engineer to join our infrastructure team. This role is unique in its requirement for multi-cloud fluency, bridging the gap between AWS and Azure environments. The ideal candidate is not just an architect, but a 'doer'—someone with strong hands-on system administration skills who thrives on troubleshooting complex issues across Linux and Windows OS. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the health, security, and cost-efficiency of our cloud estate, with a heavy emphasis on FinOps strategies, system monitoring (Datadog), and operational resilience. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and support production environments across AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability and performance • Perform essential system administration tasks on both Linux and Windows Server instances, including disk management, service configuration, and user access control • Execute deep-dive troubleshooting of system issues, utilizing log analysis and OS-level debugging tools to identify root causes • Champion FinOps culture by actively monitoring cloud spend and implementing cost-saving techniques (e.g., rightsizing resources, managing Reserved Instances/Savings Plans, and identifying zombie resources) • Utilize native cost management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management) to generate reports and actionable insights for stakeholders • Own the lifecycle of patch management for cross-platform fleets, utilizing tools like AWS Systems Manager (SSM) and Azure Automation Update Management • Implement and verify backup strategies using AWS Backup and Azure Recovery Services Vaults to ensure disaster recovery compliance • Enforce security best practices by managing Security Groups, NSGs, and IAM roles to adhere to the principle of least privilege • Lead the implementation and tuning of Datadog, creating custom dashboards, monitors, and alerts to reduce noise and increase signal • Configure and maintain cloud-native monitoring (AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) for baseline metric collection • Proactively identify performance bottlenecks before they impact end-users Required Skills: • AWS (Primary skill) • Azure (Secondary skill) • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing infrastructure in AWS and Azure • Linux system administration (RHEL/Ubuntu/Amazon Linux) • Windows Server administration • Strong proficiency with command line (Bash/PowerShell) • Patching experience • IAM & Security Policy experience • AWS-AMI/Azure VMI experience • Datadog implementation and tuning • Automation • Alert Response • Troubleshooting • FinOps and cloud cost optimization • Tagging strategies and budget enforcement • Backup and Recovery • AWS Systems Manager (SSM) • Azure Automation • Security Groups and NSGs management • AWS CloudWatch • Azure Monitor • Disk management • Service configuration • User access control • Log analysis • OS-level debugging Preferred (Bonus) Skills: • Scripting experience (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation/ARM) • AWS SysOps Administrator certification • Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) certification • FinOps Certified Practitioner certification
