Job Description
And, we’re looking for a UX Writer who can turn dense insurance jargon into clear, friendly words, almost like explaining a tricky policy as easily as a chat over coffee. Someone who can walk a user through the app with ease and still spark curiosity beyond it, while speaking like a real person, and not a manual. If this reads like something you can do or are interested in, read on! What Will You Do? / What Will You Be Responsible For? You’ll be the voice users hear when they: Onboard for the first time Make payments Hit an error (oops) Upload policies Get reminders, alerts, and nudges Learn what insurance actually means (without Googling it later) In short, you’ll write: Microcopy for screens and user journeys Onboarding, payments, tooltips, errors, and success states Notifications, reminders, policy uploads, and alerts User education content in very simple, very human language Tone rules so the app sounds like one clear, consistent voice everywhere What Will We Expect from You? Strong experience writing for a B2C mobile app Ability to simplify complex ideas aggressively Creative thinking for social and website storytelling Strong grammar and a natural Indian tone of voice Writing portfolio with UX and marketing samples Comfort with fast changes, experimentation, and feedback What are We Looking For? A writer who knows when to lead, when to give a gentle push, and when to catch a reader’s eye. Someone who gets how users think, knows what makes a product click, and can use the right words to turn insurance from a maze of fine print into something clear and genuinely reassuring. (Brownie points if you have - BFSI, fintech, or health domain exposure Understanding of UX research and product data) Why/How Your Role Matters to the Brand? To be honest, over the last few years, insurance purchases have increased manifold. However, there is a huge gap between the purchase and utility pools - at CoverSure, we have identified that. While millions have insurance, they Don’t know the plan they have, Have kept it as an evergreen product and have just been hitting the renewal button year on year Only prioritize affordability (= premiums) -and hence, they are not really insured! This role lies at the heart of our mission: writing in plain, human language that turns “I have insurance” into “I know exactly what I’m covered for.” Here, words don’t just decorate, they shield & create awareness.
