Job Summary The Inventory Management Executive is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, verifying shipments, tracking asset distribution, and ensuring compliance with internal inventory control procedures. This role requires strong attention to detail, disciplined documentation practices, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth inventory operations. Key Responsibilities Inventory Operations Maintain and update inventory tracking systems, asset registers, and related records on a regular basis. Perform shipment verification to ensure accuracy of quantity, condition, and documentation against delivery records. Handle inventory-related documentation including receipts, issue notes, stock movement registers, and asset allocation records. Track and control distribution of assets to departments or users, ensuring proper acknowledgment and return records where applicable. Conduct periodic inventory checks and reconcile physical stock with system records. Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damages in a timely manner. System & Data Management Perform accurate system data entry for inventory transactions, stock movements, and asset transfers. Maintain organized digital and physical records for audit and reference purposes. Generate basic inventory reports using MS Excel or similar tracking tools. Compliance & Process Adherence Follow internal inventory procedures, policies, and compliance requirements. Support internal audits and verification activities by providing accurate inventory data and documentation. Ensure proper handling, storage, and movement of inventory items as per organizational guidelines. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with procurement, logistics, finance, and internal users for inventory-related matters. Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding stock availability, asset status, and inventory issues. Support smooth handover and tracking of inventory across departments. Required Skills & Competencies Technical & Functional Skills Basic knowledge of inventory tracking systems and asset registers. Understanding of shipment verification and documentation handling. Proficiency in MS Excel or similar inventory tracking tools. Familiarity with internal inventory procedures and compliance standards. Soft Skills Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in documentation. Organized, methodical, and process-driven working style. Effective communication and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple inventory records and tasks systematically. Educational Qualification Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Logistics, or any relevant discipline. Relevant experience in inventory management or store operations is an advantage.
