Hiring for client As a cloud engineer you will join our small engineering team, supporting cloud and DevSecOps solutions in Microsoft Azure. You will provide technical expertise in the engineering of new products as well as improving existing ones using innovative and practical approaches aligned with the governance standards and current methodologies. One day you might be creating, and testing terraform: another managing our Azure Kubernetes Cluster, while the next increasing the observability of one of our products. In this role, you will also be responsible for collaborating with global teams and external partners during all phases of the product development lifecycle. Specific Job Responsibilities Include: management of our Azure resources e.g. AKS and Azure Databricks. managing our Azure Subscriptions (e.g. increasing security, managing alerts). collaborating in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security and high availability in the cloud. working closely with our development teams to understand their needs and code infrastructure deployments in terraform. keeping documentation concise, accurate and up to date. researching new technologies and prototyping new ideas. contributing to a continual improvement in everything we do e.g., increasing automation, better observability, removal of technical debt. reviewing work of others e.g. through pull requests. driving continuous improvement e.g. cost efficiency, better observability or appropriate introduction of new technology. third level on-call support during critical period. The role requires significant hands-on experience.
