We are looking for bright and exceptional programmers to join our Comply Tech (or Compliance Tech) team based in the firm’s offices in Hyderabad/Bengaluru/Gurugram. The team creates software to meet the firm's various compliance needs. They develop critical applications that interact in real-time with the firm's trading systems and other processes to ensure compliance. Additionally, the team efficiently analyzes large volumes of trading data to generate reports. Compliance is a critical business requirement for the firm and the diverse business structure adds complexity. The team works closely with the Compliance department to develop applications which satisfy these needs with a robust focus on accuracy and reliability. What you’ll do day-to-day You will be designing and implementing software for different tools and processes in the Compliance Tech group. You will be taking projects to completion in an optimal manner while adhering to firmwide standards of software quality and project delivery. You will also be taking complete ownership of projects which include evaluating requirements and defining the scope by discussing with traders/quants, building good domain knowledge, and coming up with tech/product initiatives, reviewing code and design for other team members (or getting reviewed), documenting important process details, and presenting projects to the group, etc. Basic qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in computer science with a solid foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming 2 to 4 years of programming experience with Java or Python at a technology or financial firm Willingness to work in a language-agnostic environment Excellent problem-solving skills, high quantitative aptitude, and ability to turn around projects quickly Excellent written and oral communication skills Preferred qualifications: Prior exposure to the compliance or trading domain
