The Finance and Accounting team is responsible for the complete and accurate accounting for all the general process flows for the Balance Sheet and Income Statement. The role includes but is not limited to creating Sales Orders, Purchase orders, reconciling out of balances, monitoring ageing, and performing balance sheet reconciliations, while involvement in driving process standardization in the work area is imperative. Main Responsibilities: Responsible for leading accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process areas May handle team of junior and senior analysts Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing compliance, internal audit & SOX requirements. Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process scope. Deep expertise, fully knowledgeable of the Worldwide Procedures and compliance requirements for respective areas. Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items Communicate with stakeholders On the job training for new team members and partners. Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings. Implement global strategy & solutions in line with taxonomy. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ensuring cross sector, cross region, and cross process alignment - ensuring documentation is maintained and consistent to the global approach. Generate ideas, cultivate, and implement continuous improvement mentality, identifying and pursuing process efficiency opportunities. Other Duties: Attract and onboard talent Supports ad hoc requests / projects Supports continuous improvement activities Participates in training to increase knowledge & skill Perform performance management activities Ensure policies and procedures are followed Qualifications: At least 5-7 years of professional experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, MBA/ CA or similar qualification preferred At least 2 years of people management experience preferred Learning agility and adaptability to different business requirements. These competencies are critical as this role will initially be part of the finance & accounting team’s pool of flex talent during onboarding, to be deployed to the permanent position once readiness criteria are met and as requested by the business units.
