We're looking for a senior API Technical Writer with strong experience documenting both existing and newly built APIs. This role will play a key part in improving developer-facing documentation while supporting SOC 2 implementation efforts. The position requires collaboration with engineering, product, and security teams, with some overlap needed with stakeholders based in the US (EST and PST). Key Responsibilities: • Create, update, and maintain clear, accurate API documentation for internal and external developers • Work closely with engineering, product, and security teams to document new APIs and enhancements • Review and refine existing API docs to improve usability, consistency, and compliance readiness • Support SOC 2 implementation by documenting processes, controls, and technical workflows as needed • Collaborate with global teams with some overlap with PST hours Required Skills: • 10-12 or 9-10 years of experience in technical documentation with a strong focus on APIs • Proven experience documenting REST APIs, endpoints, schemas, authentication, and error handling • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, structured documentation • Experience working alongside engineering and security teams • Familiarity with compliance-driven documentation (SOC 2 is a big plus) Preferred (Bonus) Skills: • Experience with API tools like Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, or similar • Prior experience supporting SOC 2 or other compliance initiatives • Comfortable working with distributed teams across time zones
