As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Consumer and Community Banking - Card & Connected Commerce, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives. Job responsibilities Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting for applications and systems Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language Design, develop, and troubleshoot with consideration for upstream and downstream technical implications Apply tools within the Software Development Life Cycle to improve automation and value Gather, analyze, and draw conclusions from large, diverse data sets to support secure, stable application development Learn and apply system processes and methodologies for developing secure, stable code and systems Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming and database querying languages Ability to code in Java, Scala, or Python Experience with Big Data and Apache Spark Experience in cloud data processing on AWS EMR Experience as a data engineer on Databricks Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and exposure to agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Engineer, Developer) Familiarity with GenAI & code generation tools like Copilot, Claude Familiarity with modern, cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake or Databricks Data modeling, Data security and Privacy controls in Financial Industry Experience with developing /maintaining applications on Public Cloud
